First time trying out color analysis and was surprised to learn my color is winter bright. I was able to see how colors affect my appearance. The makeup analysis was long overdue and I needed to refresh my makeup palette. It was great that they told me what number is my foundation base and colors for eyebrow, eyelids, lips. They also looked to see what color for my hair is best and what color jewelry looks best. The translator was great and I got to see how the makeup looks on me by the consultant. Overall, it was a great experience. They do send you a copy of their recommendations so you don't have to memorize everything and they take photos of you with your phone with the colors that work and don't work with your complexion.

I had the color analysis and makeup session on Nov 4 for myself. I went to the Myeongdong location and Kelly was the one who greeted me and did the translation between me and Azusa who was the consultant/makeup stylist.

Myeongdong location was super convenient and easy to find. Right off the subway exit. The facility was large and clean.

We first went upstairs and made sure my makeup (including sunscreen) was removed before we started playing with the colors. They used a probe to test my skin tone. It's needed because if you're like me having some orange color underneath, they would tell you what color of tops to avoid. They explained in details about what summer/winter and warm/cold profiles. Azusa helped me identify what color brought out the brightness in my face and what color would bring out all the dark circles and all. Kelly did a fabulous job translating what Azusa was explaining. There were a lot of information but they gave you a booklet beforehand and wrote down the essential information that came out from the color analysis FOR YOU. That saved me from taking my own notes. Super helpful!! Based on the profile (mine is Summer Cool), they recommended color palettes for your makeup. We tested some cosmetics based on my preferred colors and I could take a pic of it so that I could purchase them somewhere else myself later. They DID NOT push any cosmetics purchases. That's why I LOVED it.

We then moved downstairs to do the makeup. Azusa did a fantastic job doing my full makeup starting with moisturizing my face and putting serums on. I had a lot of questions along the way because I did not (and still don't) know anything about makeup. Azusa was very patient with me and Kelly translated for us without missing a beat. I felt like I was a celebrity and was very happy with the outcome.

Before I left, I was given access to download a file that showed my personalized color palette and cosmetics shopping list. Like for eye shadow, they recommended at 5 different brands listing the model name and shade number. I used that to shop at O*iveYoung later on. This session was like a gift to myself. I enjoyed it thoroughly and gained a lot of knowledge afterwards. Kelly and Azusa were friendly and patient. I shopped around for color/makeup sessions on a few famous sites and I chose this one. I'm so glad I did. It's worth every won.

So if you're thinking about doing something like this in SK when you visit, I highly recommend The Bom at Myeongdong.

It was great to learn the differences of warm and cool colours and seasons. The stylist and translator explained well what colours worked well with our skin tone.

This was a really fun and insightful experience. I’ve always wanted to know what colours suited me -especially lip colour, and my skin tone! I was also shown colours that I wouldn’t normally wear but will now try. Thanks to my stylist for guiding me in the right direction! The location is also easy to find and it’s a lovely stylish studio. Thanks so much!

Hands down to the team of Haebom. We really had fun during our session. Ladies were sweet and super nice. It was worth it!
